Firmware update (flashing)

CremaLoop slow feeders (Metal, Ultra, Pro V2) update their firmware over Wi-Fi (OTA) — there’s no cable flashing. You put the device into update mode, connect your phone or laptop to the feeder’s own Wi-Fi, and upload the firmware file through its built-in portal.

DeviceHow to enter OTA mode
Metal — Wave 1 & 2Start with the dial at 9. Turn it down to 0, up to 9, down to 0, up to 9 and hold for 3s.
Metal — Wave 3 & newer, Ultra, Pro V25 quick taps on the power button (see the video above).

A blinking LED confirms the feeder is in update mode.

  1. Connect your phone/laptop Wi-Fi to CremaLoop-XXXX (the feeder’s network).
  2. Enter the Wi-Fi password: cremaloop2025
  3. Open a browser and go to http://cremaloop.local or http://192.168.4.1
  4. Upload the .bin file you downloaded, and wait for it to finish.

Pick the file that matches your device, then upload it in step 2.

v1.3 (March 2026): adds a low-battery LED warning (3 blinks on startup) and a stronger startup kick at low dial numbers. v1.2 is the original default.

v2.1 (March 2026): adds the low-battery LED warning and stronger startup kick. v2.0 is the original default.

The Ultra and Pro V2 use the same firmware as the Metal Wave 3+ line.

The firmware version is tied to your unit and pre-order wave. If you’re unsure, contact us with your order number and we’ll confirm the right file.
